THE OTHER END OF THE LEAD: REDUCING HUMAN STRESS IN SCENT DETECTION This workshop focuses on the often-overlooked influence we have on our dogs during scent detection. Our emotions, body language, breathing, and heart rate all travel down the lead, shaping how our dogs perform in the moment. Through practical exercises and search scenarios, we will explore how increasing our awareness of our own emotional state can directly impact team performance. Over the weekend, we will highlight the interconnectedness of the human-animal bond, showing that effective searches are not just about the dog’s skills—but about creating a supportive, mindful, and responsive partnership.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellations are subject to a £10 administration & booking system fee, which will be deducted from any refund. Cancellations more than 7 days before the start of the course/class/consultation will receive a refund minus the £10 admin fee. If you cancel within 7 days, the cancellation fee is £30. For services priced under £30, the cancellation fee equals the full booking cost. Cancellations within 24 hours of the start date are not eligible for a refund. No partial or pro-rata refunds are given once a course has started. Exceptions may be made only in the most exceptional circumstances, at our discretion. National Nosework Association (NNA) Trials: To enter an NNA Trial, you must be a current NNA member and have passed the Official Recognition Test (ORT) for the level you’re entering, unless entering “Not for Competition,". Eligibility is more flexible and can be discussed. Please check that the venue is suitable for both you and your dog before entering. *No refunds will be issued If you can’t attend. Instead you may transfer your entry to someone else if they meet the eligibility requirements and you get permission from the Trial Official. Refunds are only given if the event is officially cancelled.
