Service Description
Important: All dogs must be comfortable resting in your car between searches. You will need to be a member of The National Nosework Association and have an ORT Number. Please join on their website - https://thenationalnoseworkassociation.co.uk/membershipsPRE-ENTRY Interior search Definition of interior – any area/areas inside where doors can be closed. May include vehicles. ❖ Unknown number – minimum of 1 but no maximum ❖ Unseen search areas ❖ Maximum 15 minute search time ❖ Blank areas ❖ No return to previously cleared search areas ❖ Distractions – anything except Kong ❖ Odours may be inaccessible due to containment or height (irrespective of the dog’s height) or buried ❖ Vehicles may be included in the search area and may be accessible to search both interior and exterior excluding the engine bay ❖ 1 false call permissible ❖ Dogs may be rewarded in the search area. Exterior search Definition of exterior – any outside area/areas/perimeters/open or closed vehicles. ❖ Unknown number – minimum of 1 but no maximum ❖ Unseen search areas ❖ Maximum 15 minute search time ❖ Blank areas ❖ No return to previously cleared areas ❖ Distractions – anything except Kong ❖ Odours may be inaccessible due to containment or height (irrespective of the dog’s height) or buried ❖ Vehicles may be included in the search area and may be accessible to search both interior and exterior excluding the engine bay ❖ 1 false call permissible ❖ Dogs may be rewarded in the search area. Selection test Definition of items - tubs/boxes/shoes/plant pots/pipes/scent boxes/a combination of items. ❖ 20 items ❖ Unknown number – minimum of 1 and no maximum ❖ May include buried hides. COMPETITOR GUIDELINES THE NATIONAL NOSEWORK ASSOCIATION 62 ❖ 3 minute search time ❖ Dogs to be worked on a line ❖ Distractions – anything except Kong ❖ 1 false call permissible ❖ Dogs may be rewarded in the search area ❖ Items may be laid out in any pattern provided it is clear to the judge which items have been searched. NOTE – The trials official and judge may require handlers to work some or all the searches on line. If an element is deemed on-line then this is compulsory. This may vary from venue to venue.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellations are subject to a £10 administration & booking system fee, which will be deducted from any refund. Cancellations more than 7 days before the start of the course/class/consultation will receive a refund minus the £10 admin fee. If you cancel within 7 days, the cancellation fee is £30. For services priced under £30, the cancellation fee equals the full booking cost. Cancellations within 24 hours of the start date are not eligible for a refund. No partial or pro-rata refunds are given once a course has started. Exceptions may be made only in the most exceptional circumstances, at our discretion. National Nosework Association (NNA) Trials: To enter an NNA Trial, you must be a current NNA member and have passed the Official Recognition Test (ORT) for the level you’re entering, unless entering “Not for Competition,". Eligibility is more flexible and can be discussed. Please check that the venue is suitable for both you and your dog before entering. *No refunds will be issued If you can’t attend. Instead you may transfer your entry to someone else if they meet the eligibility requirements and you get permission from the Trial Official. Refunds are only given if the event is officially cancelled.
