Service Description

Important: All dogs must be comfortable resting in your car between searches. You will need to be a member of The National Nosework Association and have an ORT Number. Please join on their website - https://thenationalnoseworkassociation.co.uk/memberships Interior search Definition of interior – any area/areas inside where doors can be closed. ❖ Unknown number – minimum of 1 but no maximum ❖ 10 minute search time ❖ Blank areas ❖ Distractions (maximum of 3) – anything except Kong ❖ Odours may be inaccessible due to containment or height, irrespective of the dog’s height ❖ Included vehicles may be anything from cars to combine harvesters ❖ Boot areas or edge of boot area may be accessible to search; trailer may be open to search; car doors may be open for dogs to search the interior ❖ 1 false call permissible ❖ Dogs may be rewarded in the search area Exterior search Definition of exterior – any outside area/areas/perimeters/open or closed vehicles. ❖ Unknown number – minimum of 1 but no maximum ❖ 10 minute search time ❖ Blank areas ❖ Distractions (maximum of 3) – anything except Kong ❖ Odours may be inaccessible due to containment or height, irrespective of the dog’s height ❖ Included vehicles may be anything from cars to combine harvesters ❖ Boot areas or edge of boot area may be accessible to search; trailer may be open to search; car doors may be open for dogs to search the interior ❖ 1 false call permissible ❖ Dogs may be rewarded in the search area Selection test Definition of items - tubs/boxes/shoes/plant pots/pipes/scent boxes/a combination of items. ❖ 20 items ❖ Unknown number – no minimum or maximum ❖ 3 minute search time ❖ Dogs to be worked on a line ❖ Distractions (maximum of 3) – anything except Kong ❖ 1 false call permissible
