Service Description

Our progression sessions are designed for anyone who has already completed an Introduction to Mantrailing and wants to build on those foundations. We’ll continue developing your teamwork, focus and line handling, with recaps available if you’d like a refresher on the basics such as starting rituals or scent presentation. Important Information *Dogs must remain on lead at all times. **There is likely to be other people and dogs near by *You are responsible for the safety of yourself and your dog. *Venues may be open to the public and facilities such as toilets may not be available. *What to Bring* *Practical clothing & footwear suitable for outdoor training. *Long lines – spares available to borrow or purchase. *Harness – a Y-shaped harness that allows free shoulder movement. (No-pull or chest strap harnesses and collars are not suitable). *Rewards – bring plenty of something your dog finds truly rewarding. Moist, smelly food usually works best (e.g. pate, sausage, fish), or a toy if that’s their favourite. *2 Reward pots – ideally three: one larger pot for your collection, and two smaller ones with lids to decant into for each trail. *Scent article – an item worn on your upper body that day (hat, scarf, glove etc.), sealed in a freezer bag to keep the scent fresh. *Poo bags and water – please clean up after your dog. **Optional gloves – particularly useful if you have a large or strong dog. Each progression session will include multiple trails, with opportunities to tailor the challenge to your dog’s level and build confidence step by step.
